Ronan Keating has been speaking about his ex-wife Yvonne using her maiden name again, and according to the popstar, he says it’s ‘great’.
Despite separating in 2011, the couple have only finalised their divorce this year, with Yvonne promptly changing her surname back to Connolly.
Speaking to The Herald about the changes, Ronan said, “It’s her decision. It’s great! Good on her.”
The pair have both moved on with their love lives, and they remain extremely amicable towards each other and their relationships.
Yvonne has been very open with her well-wishes for Ronan’s upcoming wedding with Storm Uechtritz. Speaking to Evoke.ie a while ago, she said, “I wish them lots of happiness in their life together.”
It’s good to see them get along so well, especially as Ronan’s wedding is just around the corner – August 21st to be precise.
The couple have surprisingly decided to marry in Scotland, rather than in Ireland, or even Storm’s home town in Australia.
“All of our families are going to be there – everyone! Rather than doing it in Australia or in Ireland, we said we’d go to neutral ground and meet there. It’s a very special place for us,” he told The Herald.
Chatting more about the big day, Ronan admitted that most of the planning has been left in Storm’s capable hands, while he’s simply taking charge of the music, with the possibility of him and his bandmates belting out a few tunes.
“I’m just in charge of the entertainment. Maybe Boyzone will perform… We’ll all be there, so it would be rude not to do something!” he said.
We wouldn’t expect anything less!
