Robbie Keane is set to make a big change in his career this weekend, as he steps into a managerial role for the first time.
The Irish football legend has taken on the joint manager/player role for his current club, Indian Super League side ATK, and will begin this weekend.
The side, which Robbie joined back in August, will take on NorthEast United in Kolkata tomorrow.
“I’ve been given responsibility for the team ahead of the game,” Keane said, according to www.fai.ie.
“We’ve prepared these last few days to the best of our ability and we’re looking forward to the game. The training sessions have been enjoyable, everything is ready and I’m excited for the challenge.”
Robbie and his wife Claudine are now based in Dubai with their two sons, Robert Jr and Hudson, and Claudine shared the exciting news of her hubbys new role on twitter, and her excitement was obvious!
