Former Ireland football captain Robbie Keane ha paid tribute to teammate John O’ Shea as he prepares to play his lat game in green.
John takes to the pitch against the USA for the last time tonight, following a glittering 17 year international career.
The pair played together for years and were also good friends off the pitch, with Robbie saying he is “one of Ireland’s greats”
“It was an absolute pleasure sharing the Irish dressing room with you over the years,” Robbie captioned the throwback pictures of the pair on social media.
“One of Ireland’s greats who loved representing his country and did it with pride enjoy your last game tonight pal #thanksjohn”
Fellow Irish footballers and supporters have been taking to social media to pay tributes to John on his big night.
