We’re glued to the Olympics!
We couldn’t be more proud of our Olympians this year as they have been making history event after event.
One historic Olympian is Rhasidat Adeleke.
The Tallaght woman becomes the first Irish female sprinter to make it to a final. How incredible!

Her proud sister, Latifah, shared her delight for Rhasidat ahead of the final on Friday night.
Speaking to The Independent, she admitted: “There’s a lot of planning that goes into the races. I don’t know how she does it. We were so scared for the semi-final, but we were confident she was going to do great.”
Rhasidat is in full preparation mode for her 400m final so she hasn’t been able to see her family in person.
We didn’t get to talk to Rhasidat yet in person, we were texting before the race and talked to her after, but she’s in her zone doing her thing and we know that’s how it has to be,” she told the publication.

“She will know what she has to do for the final and just give it her all. She will be nervous and excited. It’s a big stage, the Olympics. It’s the world. Everyone is there, but she has worked hard for it. We’ll be there in the crowd, and I’m going to try and stay as calm as I can. I will be nervous.
“She is only at the beginning of her Olympic journey. She’s young and she will definitely have more Olympics.”
Good luck, Rhasidat!
