Among the perks of working in one of Ireland’s top glossy magazines is the many cosmetics that are sent in to the office for our beauty team to try out. Here’s what VIP Towers rates this week.
Max Factor’s Marilyn Monroe Lipstick Collection
It’s been agreed upon in VIP Towers that this is our new go-to lippy for a pop of colour – perfect for meeting the gals for some after work-drinks when you don’t have much time to put your face on. One slick of these gorgeous shades of red, and you have instant glamour. There are four to choose from: Marilyn Berry Red for cool tones; Marilyn Sunset Red for warm tones; Marilyn Cabernet Red for darker tones and Marilyn Ruby Red for the iconic red. While we of course adore the classic red, we are seriously loving Berry Red too – it’s an extremely wearable shade.
Crepe Erase
We had heard of this skin toning product before as it’s a firm favourite of award winning actress, Jane Seymour, so we were extremely excited to put it to the test. This range which, consists of hydrating ingredients such as olive oil, beeswax, cocoa butter and apple, promises to help skin almost bounce back. Upon trying it, we did find that it tightened, smoothened and gave our skin a radiant, dewy glow. We’re not sure if it made us look any younger, but it certainly left our skin feeling super hydrated.
Urban Decay Setting Spray
We all know how it feels to spend your morning perfecting your make up, only for you to feel seriously ‘bleh’ as soon as the working day is up. Your foundation has worn off, the dark circles are showing through your carefully-applied concealer and your lipstick…well, what lipstick!? And the same goes for a night out on the tiles… Hence why we love this UD product. Mist on this weightless spray to give your makeup serious staying power, without melting, cracking, fading or settling into fine lines. Essential.
