Ray D’Arcy left RTÉ in 2025 to the surprise of listeners around the country.
Now, almost six months later, he has announced his next venture.
He confirmed his return to broadcasting. This time on his own terms as he has announced his new podcast.
His wife, Jenny Kelly, took to social media to share the news.
She wrote: “We have some news! RAY D’ARCY DAILY – your daily podcast.
“This five day a week show is nothing new, and yet ALL NEW. It’s Monday to Friday with Ray giving his own world view while surrounded by friends of the show, Jenny Kelly (that’s me), Mairead Ronan and Bernard O’Shea to name a few.
“We hope you’ll join us. Starting Monday 9th. Follow the show now to make sure you never miss an episode. Listen wherever you get your Podcasts.”
Mairead Ronan was quick to comment: “Can’t wait to have you back daily.”

Ray D’Arcy announced his departure from RTÉ Radio 1. After over 11 years on RTÉ Radio 1, The Ray D’Arcy Show came to an end with the veteran broadcaster hosting his final show in October.
