Ralph Fiennes, has shared his support of a certain Irish actor joining the upcoming Harry Potter TV series.
Rumours have been circulating about who will be taking on the villainous role of Lord Voldemort, a part which Ralph played in the original movies.
And it looks like fans have their hearts set on our very own Cillian Murphy.
Speaking about the possibility of Cillian taking on the role, Ralph said he is definitely “in favour” of the Cork Native following in his footsteps.
“Cillian is a fantastic actor. That’s a wonderful suggestion,” he admitted while on Watch What Happens Live.
“I would be all in favour of Cillian. Yeah.”
Call us biased, but we totally see Cillian smashing it as Voldemort!
Previously discussing his return to the role of Tommy Shelby, Cillian said: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me.
“It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans,” he added.
Netflix says the film will be an epic continuation of the multi-award-winning, six-season gangster saga. Set in Birmingham between 1919 and 1934, Peaky Blinders followed the rise (and sometimes fall) of the Shelby family as they navigated a world wracked with radical social, economic, and political change.
So, could Harry Potter be next? We sure hope so!
