The eir VIP Publishing Power of Women Awards: Nominees for the Cosmetics & Skin Care Award sponsored by Boots Ireland

VIP Publishing is delighted to announce that the eir Power of Women Awards are back.

These awards celebrate the best and brightest female entrepreneurs in Ireland, across the worlds of fashion, technology, beauty, lifestyle, wellness and more!

The winners, decided by an expert panel and awarded at an exclusive lunch in Dublin’s Marker Hotel on November 18th, will be profiled in the December issue of VIP Magazine.

Keilidh Cashel – KASH beauty

After making a name for herself on social media as one of Ireland’s top beauty influencers, professional makeup artist Keilidh Cashel decided it was time to work on some products of her own.

In 2019 she took a leap of faith and created KASH, dropping her first collection, Secret Treasure. Since then, she’s gone on to create and release a larger array of products, with a focus on the creation of bold, grungy looks.

The vegan and cruelty-free line is available to purchase worldwide.

Charlene Flanagan and Niamh Ryan – Ella & Jo

In 2017 beauty and skincare experts Charlene Flanagan and Niamh Ryan came together to launch Ella & Jo.

Charlene, a professional makeup artist, has always been an advocate for looking after your skin, while Niamh is a professional skin therapist, who has worked with the likes of Image Skincare and Dermalogica over the years, and knows just what to use to target specific problem areas.

Coming together, the women created a line of simple yet effective line of products to promote good skin health for all. They’ve been rapidly expanding in 2022, adding day and night creams and eye treatments to their existing line.

Finola Fegan – Finca Skin Organics

After spending years dealing with sensitive rosacea, Finola Fegan decided to take a leap into the world of skincare and help others in a similar situation to her own, by launching Finca Skin Organics in 2018.

The range of natural products, including serums, moisturising balms and SPF, is formulated with plant-based ingredients to be as gentle on the skin as possible, with an aim to soothe and improve the condition.

The pieces are currently available at fincaskinorganics.com and select clinics in Dublin, and Finola plans to expand further over the coming months.

Geraldine Jones – Skin Formulas

Aesthetician and skin clinic owner Geraldine Jones has always been passionate about looking after the skin and wanted to give customers the opportunity to have a salon experience and similar results from the comfort of their homes.

In January 2019 she launched Skin Formulas, a range of professional quality products packed with active ingredients, to create a regime personalised to target the specific concerns of each individual.

The brand is available in select salons and clinics nationwide.

Amy Cahill – Oxmantown Skincare

With a strong passion for wellness and holistic therapy, Amy Cahill wanted to create a range of skincare products to heal and restore the skin, using the best botanical ingredients.

Made locally in her hometown of Stoneybatter, Dublin, the environmentally friendly range, packaged in recyclable glass containers, has sustainability at the forefront of its ethos. Free from parabens and packed full of vitamins, minerals and essential oils, not only does it promote great skin, but also offers a sensory experience too, with calming scents to soothe the mind and body.

Hillary McMurray and Shelley Martin – Skinician

Founded just over a decade ago by mother-daughter duo Shelley Martinand Hillary McMurray, Wicklow-based brand Skinican aims to deliver happy and healthy skin, through the use oftop quality ingredients in multitasking products.

With active components which target a number of skincare issues, each product plays a vital role in improving any problems you may have, without causing additional irritation or disrupting the natural barrier.

Finding the perfect mix between modern science and nature, it’s a brand we can truly get behind.

Sonia Deasy – Pestle and Mortar

Since launching in 2014, Pestle and Mortar skincare has become a staple product in many a beauty bag!

Always on the go, this busy mum and businesswoman wanted to create a range to help people look and feel their best, with minimal effort.

This simple yet hugely effective line of products combines active ingredients with natural extracts to help give your skin a new lease of life. While primarily sold online, the brand recently announced the opening of their first permanent store, located in Kildare Village.

Lisa Jordan – Luna By Lisa

Cosmetic brand Luna By Lisa was launched by Cork woman and online influencer Lisa Jordan in September 2017, and now can be seen as a one-stop-shop for all beauty needs.

Year on year, the brand announces new launches, catering to their clients’ every need. As well as a full arsenal of haircare and makeup, Luna by Lisaalso stocks brushes, beauty bags and mirrors.

Selling individual products and bundles, the cruelty-free cosmetics and haircare ranges can be found online, in Dunnes Stores and in select pharmacies nationwide.
