The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a recall on a popular baby food, after traces of plastic were discovered inside.

Customers have been asked to return a specific batch of Aptamil Multigrain Banana and Berry Cereal, aimed at children under one, due to possible contamination.

The product in question has a batch code and expiry date of 07.07.2021, and has been available for purchase in numerous retailers around the country.

A statement shared by FSAI reads: “Nutricia is recalling the above batch of Aptamil Multigrain Banana & Berry Cereal, 7+ months due to the possible presence of pieces of blue plastic packaging.

“No other batches are implicated. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch.”

If you have this product at home, be sure to check the batch number before feeding your little ones!
