Pippa O’Connor has shared an emotional tribute on the anniversary of her mum’s death.
The author and POCO founder posted a picture with her mum Louise, who passed away quite suddenly in 2014.
Pippa urged her followers to take more pictures with their children, as she wishes she had more snaps with her own mum.
“Love this pic of myself and my mum Louise, although I look slightly terrified, probably because I’m eight months pregnant on my first child!!
“I brought her to a fancy lunch event that day- she loved it! It would be nice to say it feels easier this year (3 years on) but to be honest it feels harder. I don’t know why- maybe reality has kicked in more that the person is no longer here.
“I’m so thankful to have some nice photos with my Mum, but I wish I’d more. If you’re a mum like me , and you’re always taking pics of your kids, don’t forget to get in them too – don’t say oh my hair isn’t done or I’ve no make up on! They won’t care what you look like in them.”
Pippa also shared an inspirational quote which reads, “Your mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself.
“She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s the breath in the air on a cold winter’s day.
“She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colours of a rainbow; she is Christmas morning.
“Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you come from, your first home, and she’s the map you follow with every step you take.
“She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you not time, not space… not even death.”
