Pippa O’Connor has shared a heartfelt tribute to her mum Louise, as it’s been one year since she passed away.
Her mum died very suddenly from a heart attack last October, and the model took a moment to share a picture of the pair today to mark the occasion.
Sharing the emotional post on Instagram, Pippa said, “A year since we lost our beautiful Mum. It’s still quite hard to believe and difficult to put into words. Miss her so much.”
At the time of her passing, Pippa understandably found it very difficult to deal with the death as it was so unexpected.
She said, “It’s very surreal and tough to accept. I’ve been overwhelmed by people’s kindness and I took much comfort in reading all the messages. We will take each day as it comes. My mum was unique to say the least. I’ll miss her dreadfully.”
Shortly after her death, Pippa spoke to VIP about how she was coping with the grief, and admitted that focusing her thoughts elsewhere helped her to get by day by day: “ It’s still so surreal, you know. It’s still sinking in. I don’t get teary on times I think I should, it happens out of the blue.”
She continued, “My work has definitely been a great distraction for me these last few months. If it were a job I hated, I’d probably be in a different state of mind. It’s pushed me to do more and more.”
