The Westmeath Bachelor Festival is returning to Mullingar this year to find Ireland’s most eligible bachelor.
The festival, which is often compared to the Rose of Tralee, sees a variety of men across the island of Ireland between the ages of 21 and 62 compete to be crowned Westmeath Bachelor Of The Year.
Of course, the winner doesn’t only receive the honorary title, but also an all-inclusive holiday to Ibiza, a brand new wardrobe as well as a cash donation to their chosen charity.
This year, the competition organisers announced two new faces joining the panel of famous judges. Together, four of Ireland’s most famous faces will decide who Ireland’s ultimate bachelor is.

This year’s judges include X-Factor’s Louis Walsh, news anchor, Anne Doyle, as well as one of Ireland’s top businesswoman Pippa O’Connor Ormond and her husband Brian Ormond.
Each judge will have a certain element they’re keeping an eye out for, Pippa keeping an eye on the fashion and Brian noting who showcases a lot of talent.
The judges must whittle the hundreds of entries down to a mere 13 competitors before they’re invited back for rigorous questioning and a portion where they must showcase a talent.
