Pierce Brosnan has been spotted all over county Donegal for the past week as he films for his new movie entitled Four Letters of Love.
The former Mr.Bond has been spotted in local towns all over the county for the past week interacting with locals, enjoying the pubs and restaurants and even doing a little shopping while here filming his new Irish romance movie.
The new movie is based on the novel of the same name written by Niall Williams. The film is set in Dublin and an island off the west coast. The story follows two strangers who are destined to meet.
The film will star some Hollywood royalty like Pierce Brosnan, Helena Bonham Carter and Gabriel Byrne as well as some well known Irish talent like Fionn O’Shea and Ann Skelly.
Polly Steele will be directing the new Irish film which began filming in Northern Ireland at the end of last month and will continue throughout Donegal for the next few months.
There have been a rise in popularity for shooting movies and tv series in the Donegal area and Four Letters of Love is the next to use the stunning landscape as a backdrop perfectly suited to a romance film.
Previous films which used Donegal to shoot were Star Wars, God’s Creatures and In The Land of Saints and Sinners.
Donegal’s Film Office has been praised for their work in attracting production companies to the north western county for filming purposes.
