Pierce Brosnan shares pictures of his upcoming film

Fans were delighted when it was revealed that the best-selling novel, The Thursday Murder Club was going to be adapted into a film.

And they were even more delighted when the star-studded cast was revealed.

Included in that cast is our very own Pierce Brosnan.

And we have to say he just gets better with age!

Pierce has shared some new snaps from behind the scenes of the film.

He posted a picture beside his castmates including Helen Mirren, Celia Imrie and Ben Kingsley.

He then shared a snap with iconic director Steven Spielberg and author Richard Osman.

The Meath man wrote: “The Thursday Murder Club … look who dropped in to see us all on set the other day! None other than the great man himself Mr Steven Spielberg and the also great Mr Richard Osman. What a wonderful way to spend the summer of 2024- gratitude abounds.”

The film is based on the best-selling novel written by Richard Osman who is best known for co-hosting quiz show, Pointless.

It was originally released in 2020 and became the fastest-selling adult crime debut in recorded history.

It really took over the crime scene and helped popularise the “cosy crime” genre. Three more novels have been published in the series, which have sold over 10 million copies combined. And a fifth novel is on the way in 2025!

So what can we expect from the film?

Well it follows a group of pensioners who set about solving the mystery of the murder of a property developer in the luxurious Cooper’s Chase retirement village near the fictitious village of Fairhaven in Kent.

It sounds so fun.

Pierce will play former union activist Ron, while Helen will play ex-spy Elizabeth and Ben will play ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim.
