Paul Mescal is the name on everyone’s lips right now.

The Maynooth man spoke his cúpla focail at the BAFTAs, sent fans into a tizzy at DIFF and then he headed Stateside for the SAG Awards – the Screen Actor Guild Awards.

While he wasn’t up for an award on Sunday night, he was there to present the Best Female Actor in a mini-series or TV movie alongside Zendaya.

The pair got along swimmingly as they opened the show, although some viewers pointed out that Paul seemed a little shy as he read from the teleprompter.

It was announced that Jessica Chastain won the gong for her performance in George & Tammy, however, she took a tumble as she attempted to navigate the stage in her gorgeous gúna.

Paul was immediately on hand to help her up with Jessica joking afterwards: “I had Paul! A girl was in a good position.”

We can’t blame her at all!

Viewers also shared their delight with Paul’s appearance at the show.

It looks like Paul had a great night in any case as he rubbed shoulders with his upcoming co-star Claire Foy in Strangers and the Irish gang including Brendan Gleeson.
