The Bridgerton and Derry Girls actress showed her bff some love and support on his new adventure this week!
Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness announced that he would be releasing his own hair care range, he said on Instagram, “Founder of their haircare company 🙏🏻 @jvnhair 💕💕💕 8.31.21” while posting a picture of his ad in a newspaper.
Nicola shared this post to her own story for her 1.2 million followers to see as a very proud friend.
The pair have a close and adorable friendship which has been documented on social media since they met, Jonathan has even brought Nicola along to the Oscars as his plus one, now THAT is a good friend.
But how did two people from opposite sides of the world become so close? Well, it all started with some merch and a tag on social media…
Nicola shared, “Queer Eye had just come out, and I was like, ‘I don’t know who that person is, but I love that person,’”, the 34-year-old posted a picture tagging the famous hairdresser online and he slid into her DM’s.
After making a connection through Instagram DM’s the two met for the first time in New York City a year later and instantly clicked.
“It felt like we had met before. It just felt like we’d been friends forever. Then our friend groups just sort of melded together”, she said.
