On Sunday, Nicky Byrne returned to the dancefloor for the 100th episode of Dancing with the Stars.
He had previously competed on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK before presenting Dancing with the Stars from 2017 to 2022.
Now he’s picked up the scoring padel for the milestone episode, so he’s truly completed the trifecta.
So, could we see his return to Dancing with the Stars? Well, he isn’t ruling it out…but it won’t be for a while.

“It definitely wasn’t a test run or an audition, and I’m about to embark on a massive tour with Westlife that kicks off in September. I already know that’s running for over a year and we haven’t even looked at beyond that,” Nicky tells VIP Magazine following the 100th episode.
However, he’s keeping an open mind for the future.
“In terms of judging, I’d like to think it won’t be the last time I’ll ever do something like that. I’d be devastated if it was because I genuinely loved it,” he says.
“But certainly not next season of Dancing With The Stars, we’re busy with Westlife right the way through. Have I dropped a little match that I hope might spark someday on some show? Maybe. Who knows down the road.”

Speaking about his return, he admits: “I was buzzing, to be honest. Someone told me that it was my 60th show. I didn’t know that to be honest! It was great fun coming back to the cast and the crew and the people who do all the hard work.
“It’s a bit of a buzz when you walk back out onto that floor, you can’t be anything but impressed by the lighting and everything about it. I was just really looking forward to it; it’s a lot of fun. I didn’t know how I’d be as a judge…I still don’t know how it went!”
He adds: “I’ve now danced, presented and been a judge, so I’ll be sweeping the floors next – which I’ve done by the way, when people weren’t looking!”
He and his Westlife bandmates will be heading back on the road very soon.
They will be kicking off a 25th-anniversary tour in September with a residency in 3Arena before heading to SSE Arena. They will then head off to the UK for more dates later this year.

“The way we always work it now that we’re older gentlemen with children in schools, and like my boys are doing the Leaving Cert,” Nicky tells us.
“We were in control of our own destiny, so we don’t miss things that we can avoid missing, i.e. school exams, birthdays. If we can avoid it
“We like to do three weeks no longer than that away, and then maybe a month at home, three weeks away, a month at home. So that’s where the podcast for me has filled my time. I’m really thoroughly enjoying that. I’m hoping to keep that going.”
Here’s a busy man! But we would love to see him back in the ballroom!
Dancing with the Stars continues Sunday, 6:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
