Niamh Kavanagh is no stranger to the stage. She represented Ireland twice at the Eurovision.
She won the competition in 1993 before returning to the competition in 2010.
However, singing is very different from dancing, she reminds us.
Thankfully her good pal and podcast co-host, Gearóid Farrelly, was able to give her some advice before heading onto the dancefloor.

“When Gearóid did this last year, I, of course, was very involved in watching him,” she tells VIP Magazine, saying she supported her pal the entire time.
“He was part of the reason I did it because he was so determined that I should, and I suppose I sent him first like a canary down the coal mine,” she jokes.
“I basically went, ‘You go and see how you get on’, but actually, I think I think I’m in a better place to do it now, because I’ve kind of accepted. I don’t have to be absolutely brilliant.

“I’d like to be very good because I’m very competitive for myself.”
She goes on to say: “He gave me all the the good hints, including getting a phone cover that like stands out because they, you put all your phones in a box.”
She adds that she is a big fan of Epsom salts for her time on the show.
But she shares that her favourite place has to be the rehearsal room.
“I just love it so much, it’s so fantastic because you literally go in and we laugh quite a lot while we’re rehearsing.”
Dancing with the Stars airs Sundays at 6:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player
