Niall Horan took to the stage for the first ever live performance of his debut solo single This Town, at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards last weekend, however, all didn’t go smoothly.
Opening the show and surprising thousands of teenagers, Niall was given a warm welcome. He suffered a technical mishap though when the audio cut out.
Ever the professional though, the technical glitch didn’t phase Mullingar native Niall, and he continued on as if nothing had happened.

Speaking to the awards host Nick Grimshaw after the performance Niall said that being alone on the stage takes some getting used to.
“It was honestly a little bit different. How can it feel lonely (without One Direction) with 10 thousand other people,” he said.
He handled it like a pro!
