Niall Horan has become the most followed member of One Direction on Twitter.
The record was previously held by Harry Styles who boasts a massive 30.8 million followers.
Now however, the Mullingar man is the most followed among the five bandmates with 31 million followers.
The star’s most recent track Slow Hands has been hugely successful in the charts and Niall has been performing it live at various events around the world.
He also announced recently that he will doing a small tour called the Flicker Sessions beginning in August.
Niall’s first stop is the Olympia in Dublin on the 29th of August.
The Irishman’s new claim to Twitter fame makes him the 37th most followed person on Twitter in the world.
Louis Tomlinson has amassed 25.2 million followers, putting him in third place. He is closely followed by Liam Payne with 25.1 million.
Although Zayn is the least popular on Twitter with 22.2 million followers, he remains the most followed member of the band on Instagram with 23 million followers.
The official One Direction account currently has 32 million followers on Twitter.
