Nathan Carter has spoken out about the possibility of representing Ireland in the Eurovision.
The country singer was questioned about representing Ireland in the singing contest next year by Bernard, Keith and Jen on Breakfast Republic this morning, when they asked whether he would be tempted to follow in Nicky Byrne’s footsteps next year.
He replied, “I’ve actually gotten a lot of requests from fans to do the Eurovision. So, you never know, maybe I will!”
The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in the Ukraine, following their win in 2016.
Moving on from the Eurovision, the presenters also questioned him about his love life, jokingly asking him who he woke up in bed next to this morning.
The singer replied, “No one, haha I woke up alone, I’m single.”
Nathan’s a very busy man these days, so it’s no surprise he’s not time for a girlfriend.
The country singer has just been signed up for an RTE series and he is getting ready to perform at the RTE Irish Country Music Awards tonight.
He said about the awards, “I’m very excited, I will be singing my new song Wanna Dance and I’m nominated for four awards!”
We can’t wait to see his performance!
Tune in to the RTE Irish Country Music Awards tonight at 9.35pm on RTE1.
