Ireland’s favourite country music heart-throb, Nathan Carter, has spoken frankly about his love life, or rather lack of it!
In an interview with the Irish Independent, Liverpool-born Nathan as revealed that there literally isn’t enough time in his working day for a woman, though he would love to find one soon. “I wake up and do interviews,” he revealed, “record or write, which is squashed in between gigging, so I don’t have time for anything else.”
The charming 26-year-old “Wagon Wheel” star said that “I would love to meet the right woman, but I’m so dedicated to the music. I give 120% to mrs music all the time.”
Nathan revealed that the adoration he gets from his female fans is something new to him, as he was a bit of a nerd at school! “I wore big glasses and none of the girls would ever have picked me,” he joked, “so I find all this attention very strange.”
That’s not to say, however, that there are no special women in his life. He is devoted to his mum Noreen, and his granny Ann, who is from Warrenpoint, Co. Down. “My nan is 76,” he revealed, “but thinks she’s 21! She’s my biggest fan and she comes and loves on the tour bus with us. She’s great craic, and loves a gin and tonic!”
His mum Noreen keeps Nathan grounded, revealing that “he’d get a slap on the bum” if he ever acted the diva. “We are so proud of Nathan, as he works so hard and really does put every hour into it.”
So there you have it, ladies. Form an orderly queue, but be prepared to be waiting in line for a while…
