Former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has revealed that she has made a massive career move.
The Derry native took to social media to admit that she has embarked on an entirely new career path that is miles away from her girlband days, as she studies to be a psychiatrist.
But Nadine insisted that she is “still a singer” despite working for her medical degree – she’s going to be one busy lady!
Posting a photo on Instagram of a hoody emblazoned with “I don’t need therapy, I just need to listen to Nadine Coyle”, she told her 83k followers:
“Funny that. I am studying to be a psychiatrist. I could help with another kind therapy (in possibly 10yrs) #medicaldegreehereicome ps I’m still a singer.”
Since Girls Aloud, Nadine’s solo career has not gone as well as she hoped, with her album ‘Insatiable’ and eponymous single flopping. But she released ‘I Could Be’ with former Westlife star Shane Filan last year, which was well-received, and hinted to fans she would be releasing more of her own music this year.
Her latest venture away from being a popstar comes after she bought a bar for her parents in California a few years ago, named Nadine’s Irish Mist, which has since closed down. Fingers crossed her latest career move will work out for her!
