Dermot O’Neill has shared his delight, as doctors confirm he’s cancer-free.
The Mrs Brown’s Boys star was first diagnosed and treated in 2019 and last month, after some major swelling in his neck, thought he might have relapsed.
Dermot’s results came back last week, and thankfully, he got the all-clear.
Speaking to The Sun, Dermot said, “I’m over the moon. It’s such a load off my mind.”
He continued, “I had been living a nightmare with a swollen neck and this thing flashing through my mind, ‘Is that the cancer back?’ Now I can go back and live my life.
“All credit to the doctors, they managed to get me in at the end of last week and we got this great news.”
Dermot, who took a break from filming due to his illness, is hoping to returning to the tv set as soon as possible.
“I’m looking forward to going back to Mrs Brown but I’m going to have to be very careful meeting fans with my immune system so affected.”
