Model Louise O’Reilly has just hit the big-time, gracing the front cover of the UK-based SLiNK Magazine. A sure triumph for the plus-size model, the issue is a special edition to promote healthy body ideals in the media, a subject Louise actively campaigns with her career in the media spotlight. The edition, to be called the ‘Perfection Issue’ will include widespread discusions about the concept of modern beauty, with hopes to remind its readers that “there isn’t such thing as perfection.”
The Irish beauty, now one of the nation’s most in-demand models, wasn’t as content in her appearance as she is now. Admitting to having been bullied because of her weight as a tennager, she says;
“I was such an ugly duckling. I was like a child version of Bridget Jones. I wish I could have gone back to myself of then and just told myself it’s all going to be ok.”
Regularly updating the world of Instagram, Louise is keen promotor of a body-positive message to her fans. Her presense on the cover of the popular magazine will surely opens doors for not only the model herself, for for all girls struggling with society’s often ridiculous expectations of female beauty.
In recognition of her recent feat, VIP has rounded up the model’s 10 best fashion moments.
