Miriam O’Callaghan is putting in the final preparations as her summer chat show returns.
The Prime Time star is getting ready to replace Ray D’Arcy’s Saturday Night Show in May, as Saturday Night With Miriam makes its comeback for its 12th year.
Miriam has confirmed that the programme, which sees her interviewing the country’s biggest names in showbiz, will return on May 12.
Meanwhile, Ray was chatting about his show this weekend, admitting he refuses to compare it to the previous night’s The Late Late Show.
Although at times he faced intense criticism from viewers and critics alike, Ray said he was proud of how the season went.
“We’re doing really well in the ratings, we’re up there. We got a 36% rise last week, we got a 33%a few weeks ago,” he told the Irish Sun.
“It’s very strong for a first season. They’re very steady. I’m not comparing it to the Late Late Show. I’m here doing the first season of a television show, we’re having good craic.
“I’m loving it. It was almost a given that I was going to love it. I’m really enjoying it and it’s great,” he said.
