Mike Denver has opened up about life in lockdown with a newborn. The country music star welcomed his first child, Mia earlier this year with his wife Liz.
Mike has revealed to The Sun that he has found lockdown to be “a blessing in disguise” as he has been able to spend lots of quality time with his baby daughter.
This has been the case for many new parents, as most new Dads only get to take two weeks off after the birth of a child. Spending this time with her he said had been; “something I could never have wished for and it just fell at the right time for me.”
As Mike would usually spend a lot of time on tour he shared that many of the “great legends” he’s toured with have said; “they’d all tell me that they regretted over the years was not being able to spend time with their kids as they were growing up.”
As for the next few months, it seems that he is expecting to spend the rest of the year at home with his family; “I’m probably going to get the first 12 months of Mia’s life to spend with her, the way things are looking.”
“It’s not looking too much like we’ll be back on the road for a little while so I’m getting a great time here.”
