Michelle Dockery has opened up about how she dealt with the tragic loss of her Irish finance John Dineen.
The Downtown Abbey actress was engaged to the financial pr consultant, who sadly passed away in December of last year after a battle with a rare form of cancer.
The 34-year-old has remained notoriously private since his passing however, in a recent interview with The Sunday Telegraph she revealed that her nearest and dearest helped her through the tough time.
She said,“No one I would name because I am very private about my private life. But friends and family see you through the most difficult times.”
Michelle admitted that acting is a form of ‘release’ for her, so her new starring role in Good Behaviour came at the right time – even though it’s a far cry from her role as Lady Mary in Downtown Abbey.
She said, “It was very fortunate for me that this came along at the right time. It wasn’t a conscious decision to do something so totally different from Lady Mary but I was completely hooked on the script from the first page and I loved the complexity of the character.
We can’t wait to see her star in Good Behaviour!
