Michael Fassbender is one of the many named rumoured to be taking over as James Bond.
However, the actor has ruled himself out of the race claiming he’s too old.
The 41-year-old admitted he’s shocked to see that he’s still in the bookie’s favourites, as he feels someone in their 20s would be better suited.
“I just love Bond. Doesn’t everyone? I grew up with him. It’s always a fun conversation to have,” he explained.
“But Bond should be someone in their early 20s. You’d have thought I was out of the bookies by now.”
The actor added that he no longer thinks the actor needs to be British, or even a man.
“I always thought Bond should be British, but let’s get an American in or maybe someone like Jack O’Connell would be good, or even better, how about Jane Bond? A woman,” he suggested.
“One thing is for sure, it won’t be anyone on the bookies’ lists. It never is,” he told British GQ.
Among the bookies favourites are Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Aidan Turner and even Harry Styles.
