Put yourself first during Menopause Awareness Month with Meno Active

People who have periods will all go through menopause at some point in their lives. So why are we afraid to talk about it?

October is Menopause Awareness Month and Meno Active is here to help us get more open and honest with our bodies.

The purpose of the month is to raise awareness of the many stages of menopause and the many support options available to those who go through menopause to help their overall well-being during this period in their lives.

A number of years ago, Revive Active first conceptualised a nutritional super supplement to support those experiencing menopause.

“As the window to our fertility closes the door to our wisdom opens. Lean in, embrace the journey, even the messy bits, safe in the knowledge that you will reach the other side happier and more content.” Dr Fiona Barry PhD, a key member of the Meno Active formulation team said.

When it comes to preparing for menopause, Dr Barry shares this advice: “The very first thing I’d be saying is preparation is key. It’s about keeping yourself as healthy as possible. We’re a bit shocked when we go into perimenopause. Because women are having children later, we might miss the signs. Historically, we tend to look at menopause as an old woman’s issue, and that’s simply not the case.

“If we go into perimenopause where you are nutritionally in good health, mentally and emotionally in good health, you’re sleeping well, all of these things can really help. Also, keeping your natural menstrual cycle going for as long as possible, the better your body will be on the other side of it.”

Over the course of two years, Dr Fiona Barry PhD and the other members of the formulation team created Meno Active, a menopause super supplement.

So what exactly is in the supplement? Meno Active contains 31 active ingredients in a unique daily sachet and capsule combination including 12 vitamins, seven minerals, four plant extracts, four digestive enzymes, three different strains of live-friendly bacteria plus 350mg omega 3 DHA.

Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity, Omega 3 DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function, biotin, magnesium, thiamine and iodine contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system, and niacin and vitamin C contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism.

It also includes chromium which contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels. Each capsule contains three plant extracts: ashwagandha, sage and soya isoflavone

It is recommended to take one sachet and one capsule, once a day, with food.

Meno Active is formulated and manufactured in Ireland and is free from artificial preservatives, flavours, and colours. It is vegetarian-friendly and suitable for people with diabetes.

As with any nutritional supplement please consult your qualified healthcare professional before use, especially if pregnant, breastfeeding, if you have a known medical condition, or are taking HRT or any other medication.

Meno Active retails at €59.99 and is available to purchase on www.reviveactive.com, healthfood stores and pharmacies nationwide.
