Maura Higgins is tipped to be heading into another reality show.
The Longford lady got her big break on Love Island in 2019 and has been working tirelessly since then.
She appeared on Dancing on Ice, starred in a film and has been killing it on the red carpet.
Now it looks like she is returning to her reality show roots.
I’m A Celeb will be back on Virgin Media and ITV on Sunday, November 17th.
Rumours had swirled about who would be joining the series this year, and reports on which Love Island alum would be taking on the Bushtucker Trials.
Originally it was reported that Tommy Fury would be donning the red ensemble this year, but now it looks like Maura Higgins will be delighting audiences with her signature wit.
It’s believed that Tommy pulled out of the show so he can take on YouTuber and musician KSI in a rematch of their 2023 boxing match.
Joining Maura in the jungle is former professional boxer Barry McGuigan, who joined the line-up after former Scottish footballer Ally McCoist dropped out.
However, that could be an awkward run-in for Maura.
Maura was in a relationship with Barry’s son, Shane back in 2018 when she worked as a ring girl before becoming a reality star.
Also taking part is McFly’s Danny Jones, professional dancer Oti Mabusse, who quit Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, Loose Women panellist Jane Moore, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough and broadcaster Melvin Odoom.
Maura and Barry will be flying the Irish flag this year after a long break of Irish faces in the camp.
Yes, Nadine Coyle was the last Irish face to compete in the series, back in 2019. Kian Egan did us proud when he was crowned King of the Jungle in 2013.
Could we have a repeat this year?
