Maura Higgins has shared that she had to make an emergency dash to the hospital this week following an accident at home.
Thankfully all seems to be well, but the Love Island star had to head to A&E after what sounds like an accident in the kitchen.
Posting on her Instagram stories she said; “Ended up in A&E after slicing my finger to the bone! Happy F**cking Monday!”
This comes just after the Longford native returned to her London home after a stunning and relaxing trip to the Maldives with friends.
Maura jetted off to the idyllic spot with fellow Love Island star, Lucy Rose Donlan and model, Lauren Stanford, to celebrate her 31st birthday.
Whilst they were there her pals organised a really sweet birthday surprise for her as they had dinner on the beach while watching Titanic on a big projector screen.
Celebrations were in order for Maura not just for her birthday, but because she has just landed a major modelling contract with one of the top agencies, Elite Modelling Agency.
The Glow Up Ireland presenter shared the exciting news to Instagram posting a picture of herself in front of a sign reading Elite, with the caption, “Here’s to new beginnings.”
Speaking to The Sun about the exciting next step in her career Maura said, “I’m so excited about this new chapter in my life, working in TV alongside modelling has always been one of my biggest passions and I can’t wait to share some of the projects I’m going to be working on.”
