The Super Bowl took place in San Francisco on Sunday night.
The Seattle Seahawks tore to victory against the New England Patriots with Puerto Rican Grammy winner Bad Bunny taking to the stage for the halftime show.
He was joined by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
One person who was very excited to cheer on the Pats was our very own Maura Higgins who is living up the American culture.
She is taking over the States as she is currently appearing on The Traitors US and has become a fan favourite.
Ahead of the game, which ended 29-13 to the Seahawks, Maura appeared on the stage at the NFL Honours Awards in San Francisco to present the winner of the Best Moment in the sport. She appeared alongside comedian Tracy Morgan and wrestler Seth Rollins.
She was joined by her pal Luke Hamnett for the event. She shared videos of the stadium, writing: “The most incredible atmosphere.”
However, it wasn’t the game that had Maura Higgins feeling starstruck. She shared a video of Kevin Costner on the big screen with the caption, “I GASPED!!!!!!!!!!!”
Same, Maura!
However, just a few hours later she had an even closer encounter as she passed him on the escalators inside the stadium.
“Kevin, I love you,” she shouted to him which had Kevin turning to the camera and smiling. It looks like he thanked Maura for the sweet message but it can’t be heard on the video.
“The luck of this happening to me,” she captioned the video.
Ahead of the Super Bowl itself, Maura enjoyed a glam brunch with Primark in California. She hung out with Love Island alumni Eyal Booker, Luke Hamnet and Josh Denzel.
Also in attendance was KarJenner pal Stassie Karanikolaou, as well as Carter Gregory, Sophie Julia, actress Eiza Gonzalez, Nella Rose and Henry Rowley. The crew were also joined by Hollywood actor Greg Sulkin.
