And it looks like she has a bright future in acting ahead of her…if that’s what she wants to pursue.
Maura appears as Rose in The Spin which is being filmed in Omagh, Co. Tyrone.
The film follows two friends travelling around Ireland to collect old music records.
Producer Edward McCaffrey told RTÉ Entertainment that Maura was “a natural” when it came to acting.
“For someone who’s never acted before, to see her hit her cues, hit her marks, give the same performance every take, was excellent,” he said.
“She played the role exactly how she was directed. She arrived, she was absolutely fantastic on set, very friendly, very approachable. Wonderful to work with.”
He went on to describe her as “the ultimate professional” and “a joy to work with”.
“I think if she put her mind to it she could have a very good career in acting. I think she’s a natural at it,” he added.
“Moving from something like Love Island or presenting to acting, if you’d never done it before, could be a big mistake.”
“Oh my god I’m so excited, but I’m also so nervous. And I never get nervous, but I will be very nervous watching that back,” she confessed on social media.
“For anyone who doesn’t know, this is the movie that I did my first bit of acting in. You know me, I love a challenge. I had such a good time, the people that I was working with were incredible.
“I can’t say too much about it but it was an incredible experience. I’ll be very nervous watching it back, yeah, a million per cent.”
She went on to say: “It’s a hard one because when you’ve not done something before, you just don’t know what to expect. Like obviously I’m comfortable in front of cameras and all of that jazz, but I don’t know I just feel nervous about watching it.”
We can’t wait to watch!
