Ireland’s beloved Matt Damon has revealed that he is planning to take his family back to Ireland.
The Hollywood star was in Ireland for the beginning of the pandemic last year and charmed the nation with his SuperValu bag carrying swims and pure love of our country.
According to the Irish Times Matt said that he “struck a deal” with his family that as soon as he finishes filming Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia they will be heading back to Ireland.
“One of my daughters said to me just the other day, just out of the blue, she goes, “you know, I could live in Ireland,” he said.
We can’t wait to see them!
Matt told the Irish Times how he felt about the viral SuperValu bag moment, “I was so surprised by all of it. Listen, if any of us Hollywood types knew that, you’d see everybody turning up with those Supervalu bags wandering around trying to get their picture taken.
“But no, I didn’t know, it wasn’t even like a paparazzi shot or anything, because there weren’t any of those. It was just someone who I grabbed a picture with and I was holding the bag, I mean when you’re living there, that’s where you shop,” he added.
We love the innocence of it all, actors are real humans who use shopping bags to hold their beach bits too guys.
