Marty Whelan is one of Ireland’s most beloved TV personalities, who is well appreciated by Irish audiences. But one young fan decided to show Marty just how popular he is with an incredibly sweet gift.
Taking to Twitter the Winning Streak host shared his delight after 9-year-old Séamus Conti gifted him a Lego version of himself.
Sending his thanks, the Eurovision commentator wrote: “Thank you 9 year old Séamus Conti for turning me into a Lego Marty… I’ve arrived.”
And Marty wasn’t the only one who appreciated the sculpture, as his fans were delighted by it as well.
Singer and Eurovision champion Niamh Kavanagh wrote: “Beautiful Marty, Seamus did an excellent job representing your moustache!”
While a fan said: “That is sooo good. Very clever!”
And another commented: “Loveee it Marty.”
And it seems the artist himself was thrilled to see such a warm reception for his work, as Séamus’ mum Sarah said: “Séamus is delighted Marty and so many Marty fans approve of Lego Marty!…. made our day! Thank you.”
