Westlife singer Mark Feehily has returned to tour Asia with his bandmates after being struck down by a bout of pneumonia late last year.
The Sligo native posted a black and white Reel of him waking up in Jakarta and drinking a cup of tea. The caption read ‘It might be 2.30pm here in Jakarta, but it’s breakfast time back home’.
Fans rushed to the comments section delighted to see him back in action with one saying: ‘welcome back Markie’, and another adding: ‘enjoy Jakarta, see you tonight’.

He first announced his departure for Indonesia on Instagram yesterday with an uplifting post, again holding a cup of tea – you really can’t take Ireland out of the Irish!
In the post he said: ‘Indonesia we are on the way! Quick cup of tea before a long flight – can’t wait to see you all very soon’. Mark added a bit of humour using the hashtag #flyingwithoutwings subsequently commmenting ‘well actually WITH wings thank you very much’ – he had us there.
The 42-year-old had to take some time off from Westlife’s The Wild Dreams Tour after contracting a nasty dose of pneumonia at the beginning of the European tour but thankfully was given the all clear back in January to return for the Asian leg of the tour.
Mark shared the news of his recovery just days into the new year bringing a smile back to his fans faces, his post included a colourful filter and the Diana Ross song I’m Coming Out, captioning it: ‘I’ve got great news the doctor has said I can get back to normal!!!!! See you soon’
The Irish band will be taking to stages all over Asia, performing a total of 14 shows starting in Indonesia and ending in Thailand. We can’t wait to see Mark back on tour enjoying himself for the remainder of the performances.
