Domhnall Gleeson’s acting career is going from strength to strength.
Following his role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the Oscar-nominated Brooklyn, he’s now being tipped to play Winnie the Pooh creator A.A. Milne.
The Dublin actor is reportedly in talks to play the writer in biopic Goodbye Christopher Robin, which will follow the relationship between the English author and his son – who inspired the classic tale and its famous characters.
My Week with Marilyn director Simon Curtis will helm the film, which will see Domhnall – son of legendary actor Brendan Gleeson – playing another poignant father-son tale, following 2013’s About Time.
The news comes after it emerged yesterday that the Dubliner will be starring in a new Netflix movie alongside Saturday Night Live star Will Forte.
The flick will tell the story of US satirical magazine National Lampoon, and the 32-year-old is set to play boss Henry Beard, with Will starring as co-founder Doug Kenny.
He is also currently filming Star Wars: Episode VIII which is expected to shoot scenes in Ireland next month – does he ever take a minute to just soak in his success?!
