Love/Hate actor Killian Scott has said that his new role in Damnation ‘came out of nowhere’.
The actor plays the lead, Seth Davenport, in the drama which looks at the history of the 1930’s American heartland.
Killian explained that they shot the pilot in December and it has now been picked up for a full series, with filming starting in July.
“I sort of felt that to shoot the pilot itself was such an extraordinary experience that if that was all I would get to do, then fair enough,” he told RTE.
The Dubliner added that it all came together very quickly.
“I mean, it came completely out of nowhere. Without going into all the details, it was basically a period of a week between me hearing about it for the first time and being on set in Calgary filming my first day.
“After we wrapped I never really thought about it; I was just grateful it had happened.
“But the opportunity to now turn it into something expansive that people will be able to watch is genuinely something I can’t really describe adequately.”
The show will air in the U.S. in October and thankfully Netflix have signed on as co-producers which hopefully means we won’t be waiting too long for it on the streaming site in Ireland.
