The Love Island Reunion drew in viewers last night, and while it’s a chance for fans to catch up with this year’s couples, the focus was actually on some former flames.
Fans were hooked on Dublin girl Catherine and Welshman Scott’s reunion on last night’s show. The couple proved popular whilst coupled up in the villa, but their relationship ended when Catherine brought bombshell Elom back from Casa Amor.
Despite the drama plenty of fans are still routing for the pair, and seeing as Catherine and Elom are no longer together, a possible rekindling has been the talk amongst fans.
The Dublin girl and pro-footballer addressed where they currently stand. The Welshman was asked: “Scott, you and Catherine had a connection pre-Casa Amor, is there anything lingering there now? DMs maybe I think have been shared?”
Throwing the question to Catherine with a smirk, he said: “Do you want to start?” To which Catherine replied: “We talk, we are on good terms, do you want to add to that?”
“We are in a good place with it, we were friends before Catherine left the villa, it didn’t come across like that but we were, I used to sit and chill with them two, we’re good friends,” Scott added.
Catherine’s ex Elom jumped in, joking: “They have my blessing.”
Prior to Scott joining the interview, Elom and Catherine addressed the demise of their relationship.
Keeping things civil, Catherine said: “Quite early on we decided it wouldn’t work on the outside.”
“Not long-term.”
As Elom shared: “I wish nothing but the best for her and she wishes nothing but the best for me.”
This wasn’t actually Scott and Catherine’s first time meeting up outside the villa.
The pair reunited on Monday night during the finale. Catherine shared a sweet selfie of her and Scott as they attended a party.
They were both beaming at the camera so it looks like there is no bad blood between the pair.
