ITV has confirmed when highly anticipated reality dating show Love Island will be returning to our screens.

The good news is, we don’t have much longer to wait at all, as it’s confirmed to land on telly on Monday the 6th of June at 9pm.

Adding to the good news, fans can expect to see last year’s host Laura Whitmore return to screens again joined by her husband Iain Stirling as the show’s iconic narrator.

The only bad news we currently have is that we’ve no idea which contestants are heading into the villa yet. As usual, we’re hoping for an Irish singleton looking for love to bring some Irish charm to the villa as many predecessors have done before.

One rumoured contestant to be heading off to sunny Spain is Ronan Keating’s daughter, Missy.

According to Ladbrokes, Missy is currently the front-runner to enter the villa, with odds of six/one. The influencer revealed she had been asked on the show last year, but turned down the opportunity as she was in a relationship at the time.

But Missy has since split from her boyfriend, so there is plenty of speculation about her appearance this season. Second to Missy, is another Boyzone member’s offspring, Keith Duffy’s son Jay.

The actor’s odds stand at seven/one, but Jay has never shown interest in Love Island before and has a big project for Netflix coming up next year, so fans are still unsure.

For now, we’ll just have to wait for further announcements. You can catch the new series of Love Island on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
