Love Island star Yewande Biala unveils new sex positive series

Love Island alum, Yewande Biala has announced she’s starring in a brand new Channel 4 show.

Yewande is hoping to answer the age-old, ever mysterious question: why can’t some women orgasm?

The reality star, originally trained as a biochemist, joins one in eight other women who have never had an orgasm.

Described as a documentary, Secrets of The Female Orgasm, follows Yewande as she meets other women, scientists and therapists to hear their stories, research and advice.

She will attempt to learn everything there is to know about female orgasms in the hope of having her own.

Yewande was brought up as a strict Catholic and as a result struggled with shame and anxiety around sex.

It wasn’t until the age of 19 or 20 that she found out women could have orgasms.

Now she’s on her own journey, while helping other young women discover all about orgasms.

Ian Katz, Channel 4 Chief Content Officer noted: ‘Channel 4 is often accused of being overly interested in sex but I believe we play a unique role in the broadcast environment.”

He added: “Secrets of the female orgasm is as important an educational piece of broadcasting as you’re likely to see on any channel this year.”

Channel 4 is known for its informative, head-line grabbing documentaries, other channels are too afraid to go near.

Katz revealed they’ve a number of other documentaries in the pipeline that will create waves.

These will include Partygate: The True Story, Andrew: The Problem Prince and Davina McCall’s The Pill.

In regard to Channel 4’s stance on exploratory documentaries he said: “These are shows that speak to the concerns of young British viewers and create real world impact.”

He then added “This is a slate of programmes that shows Channel 4 is as disruptive, original and purposeful as it has ever been.”
