The Love Island semi-final took place last night and saw the finalist’s parents come into the villa to see them after a long few weeks apart.
The emotional reunions were heightened by the fact that they couldn’t hug or kiss each other due to social distancing.
Nonetheless viewers enjoyed seeing the proud parents, siblings and friends share their love and support and meet the couples.
One parent who made a particular impact on Irish audiences was Toby’s mom, the Irish accent was spotted a mile away as fans went wild on twitter celebrating the Irish contestant we never knew we had.
Toby’s mom Victoria is from Mayo!
Confirmed by former contestant Matthew Macnabb, after one follower told him they missed the Irish representation on the show, he said, “Tbf we do have some Irish representation on Love Island still. @tobyaromolaran’s mum is from Mayo”.
We love to see it!
Although Toby has had a bit of a rollercoaster of a journey first coupling up with Kaz, then Chloe, then Abi, then Mary and then back to Chloe. His hilarious playful energy and impressive character development has turned the audience around and made him one of the favourites-to-win this series.
He even cried when his mom and sister entered the villa which was adorable and made us like him even more!
Twitter was bursting with pride after Toby’s Irish connection was revealed, with even Nicola Coughlan rejoicing in the representation.
