It feels like Love Island just started, we can’t believe we’re in the final week of the reality series.
Yes, Iain Stirling confirmed on Sunday night that this was the last full week of Love Island.
Although there was speculation that the show would run for 10 weeks, it has been doubly confirmed it is coming to an end in the coming days.
So when will we be crowning our winners and saying goodbye to the villa?
Love Island 2022 is set to come to an end on Monday 1st August 2022.
During the season eight launch, Laura Whitmore confirmed that the show would run for eight weeks this year.
Love Island usually concludes with a live show on a Monday evening.
“There was speculation that ITV might extend the series because ratings have been so impressive this year,” a source told The Sun.
“But they also know there can be too much of a good thing. With Winter Love Island coming back in 2023, bosses want to keep anticipation high and not exhaust the format.”
There are still six couples in the villa made up of, Tasha and Andrew, Indiyah and Dami, Gemma and Luca, Paige and Adam, Danica and Jamie and fan favourites, Ekin-Su and Davide.
That means that two more couples will have to be cut from the show before the grand finale on Monday.
Love Island continues on Virgin Media 2 at 9pm every night bar Saturdays
