Love beauty on a budget? Aimee Connolly, Louise Cooney and more share their must-have products

We all love to treat ourselves from time to time, whether that be a new haircut, a luxury foundation or that velvety lipstick that you just don’t want to be without. But when you find a fantastic beauty product that does exactly what you want it to do, and doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket (or your bank account) well, there’s nothing better.

We caught up with some of our favourite Irish influencers to see what their must-have beauty buys on a budget are.

Aoife Walsh

“I change my skincare regularly because my skin gets very dry and dehydrated in the winter. I love the Bioderma Hydrabio range, especially their moisturisers and it’s a great price point. My favourite budget body cream would be Cerave moisturising cream pot.

A brilliant budget shampoo and conditioner range I like to use would be OGX Coconut Milk range. Plus, a great long-lasting foundation staple in my beauty bag would be the IT Cosmetics CC+ cream. It lasts me ages and I feel that I get a good bang for my buck.”

Aimee Connolly

“For budget buys, I love simple items like Carmex lip balm – although it’s addictive and may not actually cure dry lips, I do love it. I am also a big fan of the Tangle Teezers brushes for hair, with or without extensions.

Rimmel Wonder’full brow is an affordable mascara gel for the quickest brow grooming ever and the InkeyList is an interesting skincare brand which I’m finding out more and more about. Its got great ingredients in there for a fraction of the usual price so I am enjoying trying some bits from it!”

Michelle Regazzoli

“My favourite beauty buys on a budget have to be J Cats Beauty Rock Glitz Diamond dazzle liquid liner, LA Girl perfect precision lip liner, LA Girl HD Pro coverage foundation, Kokie Cosmetics Volume and length mascara and the Catrice Cosmetics Lipsticks.”

Louise Cooney

“I love the Catrice HD Liquid Foundation, it has amazing coverage and an amazing price. The L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara – celebrity make up artist Makeup by Mario recommended this at his masterclass.

My lifeline this summer has to be Bellamianta Self Tanning Gradual Moisturiser, so natural-looking and easy to keep topped up!

When it comes to hair, I love Luna by Lisa Jordan Hair Treatment – I find this amazing for saving any hair breakage or damage when your hair is wet. That’s when it’s at its most vulnerable.

Finally, SOSU by SJ So Kiss Me lip kits. The colours and the quality (and the fact they’re created by one of our own) is why I love these so much.”
