Louise McSharry has bravely shared a video tutorial online, showing how she dealt with losing her eyebrows during chemo.
Writing on her blog, the now cancer-free Louise revealed that she only realised how important her eyebrows and lashes were until she lost them during her treatment.
“Despite the fact that I find this mortifying, I thought it might be helpful to share how I faked my eyebrows during chemo,” the 2FM host wrote.
“For years I didn’t pay any attention to them at all, and by that I mean I literally didn’t do a thing to them…. Any time I tried to tweeze I had a sneezing fit, and I just didn’t think they were that important. Now I know differently.”
“Without hair or eyelashes, your head can look a bit… well… a bit like a potato,” she added.
Radio presenter Louise revealed that although she found it a bit embarrassing, she thought that the tutorial might be beneficial to others going through what she endured.
“Before you watch it, please note that; A) I felt like a complete dope making it. B) I felt like a complete dope editing it. C) I feel like a complete dope posting it”, she said.
‘However, I’m hoping that it might be helpful for some people, so here goes. (I apologise for the background, I could really have chosen something more attractive.)”, she added.
The bride-to-be has now recovered after a lengthy battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is due to marry her fiance Gordon Spieriin in August.
