Louise McSharry admitted to TV Now Magazine that she was worried about her radio job, being away from the airwaves, while she was battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
“I worry about my job all the time whether I’m in work or not in work because radio is a cut-throat profession. I lost my job before and it could happen to me again.”
Although, the 2fm star has praised her colleagues efforts in making preparations for her return to the station. “RTE were so supportive and they told me to take all the time I needed. I was so grateful to them for their support. All my colleagues and senior management have been amazing” she said.
The 2fm star is now fully recovered from her battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and revealed starting a family with her new hubby could be next on the agenda. “For now its just the old fashioned trying and see how we go. If I’m lucky to have one kid I’ll be delighted”.
The radio star also never gave postponing her wedding a second thought “I was always getting married, it was never going to happen that I wasn’t getting married. As far as I was concerned that was the important stuff”.
Louise will let TV viewers see her during her most testing times as she fought cancer as she features in a real life documentary called ‘F**k Cancer’.
The footage, which was shot for a new documentary as part of the next Reality Bites series will allow viewers to witness the radio star’s most testing times with the illness.
On top of this, Louise is set to release a tell-all book about her life. “I’m writing a book at the moment about me and being a woman…Work and that are my primary focuses at the moment”, she said.
