Louise McSharry is set to return to the airwaves next weekend as her maternity leave comes to an end.
The presenter, who’s mum to Sam and baby Ted, will host a new show on RTE 2FM, kicking off Saturday 25th of Jan at 9am.
Sharing her delight, Louise said, “That’s my news, that’s my new show on 2FM.
“It’s going to be a talk show but I’ll still be playing you music that is curated by me.”
She continued, “It’ll be a lot of new music but not only new music. We’ll also be talking about loads of different stuff; there’ll be a bit of beauty, a bit of newsy stuff and hopefully we’ll be able to give you, the listener, a space if you have a story you’d like to share.”
Louise, who has worked in radio for almost two decades, admits landing this job is like a dream come true.
“It’s really exciting. I have been begging to be able to talk and have a show with more talk in it for years so it’s really exciting,” she said.
“I got my first radio job 17 years ago so I have really worked very hard and I’m just thrilled.”
