Despite it being a hugely exciting time of year for the soon-to-be married couple, Louise Duffy and Paul Galvin won’t be spending Christmas together.
The pair who are set to marry on New Year’s Eve in a very traditional ceremony, are going to spend Christmas with their own families.
Speaking to The Herald, Louise said, “I will be in Mayo and he will be in Kerry so we won’t be together for it.
“We both really love being with our families on the day so that is just how it worked out, and it’s fine.”
Louise revealed that what she’s most excited about this Christmas is getting to spend some quality time with her nearest and dearest – something which doesn’t happen too often.
“I’m too old for presents, so getting home for Christmas is the best thing for me.
“I have a huge family and we have cousins coming home from Australia and we will all be together from Christmas Eve through to Stephen’s Day,” she said.
Paul recently opened up about the big day, saying he couldn’t be more excited for their New Year’s nuptials.
“We’re obviously excited about it,” he told Ireland AM. “We’re looking forward to the day now. It’s getting closer and closer.”
