Broadcaster Louise Duffy and GAA star Paul Galvin are reportedly set to walk up the aisle before year is out. The pair are expected to exchange vows on New Year’s Eve in Mayo, on Louise’s home turf.
The couple became engaged in 2014 after three years together and Louise previously spoke of her desire to have a Christmas wedding.
The popular broadcaster recently revealed to VIP her nuptials will NOT be a lavish affair. The high profile couple have largely remained coy about their wedding plans, only saying they would say ‘I do’ in low-key fashion.
Meanwhile, The popular broadcaster spoke exclusively with our sister mag, TVNow about her wedding to the GAA star, saying: “I’m a home bird so I will be getting married in Ireland, but it’ll be very low key. Completely low key is the way to go for us.” The 31-year-old gushed about her long-term love and revealed the pair connected instantly – Awww!
“I think when you sit down with someone and you just click and have brilliant fun together… He’s great craic and we really clicked. I couldn’t tell you when that realisation dawned on me.
“You just have to be best friends with somebody who has your back. It really does boil down to being best friends through and just enjoying each other’s company so much.”
The Today FM radio star also exclusively revealed to VIP that while she and her husband-to-be are not planning to start a family any time soon, when they do she feels sure that the boys will follow their dad into GAA.
